Group and private lessons available
What is the greatest benefit from our group lessons ? It’s definitely the opportunity for kids to grow in healthy and safe community promoting a love of music. Our lessons create friendships among students and parents that come to classes weekly.
We recommend our piano/keyboard training for all new beginners in music (at least 2 years) prior to starting a more technical instrument like guitar, violin or drums. Our students learn music theory, learning both the classic pieces and the pop songs they listen to on Spotify or Youtube.
Our group lessons, which have 3 to 5 students, cost 50% less than the average rate for private lessons. We don’t compromise on quality with our standardized program that allow our students to learn their favorite pieces through sight reading, playing by ear and understanding patterns. We also organize entertaining concerts 3 times per year, we have a fun level-up wristband system that goes from yellow to green for each piano level to keep students engaged.
While we believe our group program is great for beginners and intermediate, we suggest private lessons for students with special needs such as ADHD or that are on the autism spectrum. It’s also a great option for students with 5 years or more of experience in their given instrument. At this stage, students can specialize in the type of music they want such as classical, pop or jazz.
The Fonds Musique Inclusion Fund and why it matters
We believe music education should be accessible to all, which is why we created a fund for kids from the most impoverished communities of Montreal take free music lessons with us. Every year, full scholarships are given to students showing potential in music that come from difficult backgrounds.
Are you in a difficult financial situation? Apply to receive a partial grant that covers between 30% to 50% of your tuition fees.
Safe and healthy environment
We promote diversity and inclusion, integrating everyone in our lessons with kindness and respect. We believe that our music lessons are a key pillar for the cognitive development of children, learning to express their creativity and keeping kids motivated in all aspects of their lives to prevent school drop-out.
Creating discipline
Did you new schools with music programs consistently rank higher than others? This is because playing music creates a discipline for kids that will follow them for life, helping them to structure their day, attain their goals and live the life they’ve always wanted. Kids in group music lessons are particularly likely to get involved in more positive circles that will stimulate their love for music, their desire to improve their lives, their ability to develop important friendships and, finally, to success professionally, financially and on the relational level.
Humor and curiosity
While we support students to attain their goals, we value above all kind teaching practices. For us, music is a joy to discover through fun and curiosity rather than a performance. It creates an environment for students to develop their social skills and empathy.
When can students start to learn with you?
Our introduction program to piano starts at 4.5 years old. We suggest group lessons for beginners as it’s the perfect opportunity to meet friends, join a community and stick with music over the long term!
